Configure an Email Account in IncrediMail

IncrediMail is an email desktop program. By using a program such as this, you can access all your email accounts in one place. This is a tutorial to show you how to setup an email account in IncrediMail. The first step is to create the email account in your hosting cPanel. If you need some assistance with this, see the tutorial called, "How to Create a POP Email Account". Now we need to open up the IncrediMail program. From the menu at the top, select and click on Tools. This will open a drop-down menu, at the bottom click on Accounts.

The Mail Accounts window will appear. Click on the Add button on the right hand side. This will open the Account Wizard. There are two options given, one is to automatically configure or the other is to Let me Configure settings myself. Check the radio button in front of Let me configure settings myself, then click Next at the bottom of the box.

Next choose Other. The following screen is for your email address and the password you used when creating the email account. 



The next screen is for the server settings.
Select either POP3 or IMAP depending on your requirements.
In the Incoming server enter your server host provided in your setup email, example server24.hostbusters.com.au
In the Outgoing server enter your server host provided in your setup email, example server24.hostbusters.com.au
CLick on Next, it will come up with an error saying it was not able to connect. Click on Skip close to Finnish.

There is some settings left to alter before Incredimail will work correctly.

Click on Tools in the top menu and select Email Accounts, highlight the new account and click on Properties.
In the next windows select the Servers tab and tick "My server requires authentication"
Click on the Advanced tab at the top and ensure that both incoming and outgoing servers have "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" ticked.
The Outgoing port must be changed from 25 to 465



Click on Ok to complete the setup then click on close to go back to the Incredimail inbox.
